Help Me Get Assistive Technology

Hi, my name is Jay.

I'm a 41-year-old who was born 2 months premature and diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In 2017, I had carpal tunnel release surgery on my left hand wherein the doctor all but severed the median nerve. Despite an operation later that year to repair the damage I have less than full function or feeling in my left hand. As time goes on, I'm able to use it less and less, frequently dropping things or hitting buttons I'm not aware I'm touching, unable to be handed things as my hand can't fully extend around objects like cups to grip. When this started, I switched to a left-handed mouse as typing primarily with the left hand was very difficult and uncomfortable. Now I'm having difficulties with the mouse.

Augmental advertised an alternative means of control with their MouthPad which may help me continue to work with computers and continue to do streams on Twitch which is currently my only source of income as I'm still fighting to receive disability benefits. I was today offered the chance to purchase one and discovered the cost was $1500 with $50 for shipping. This is far beyond my means as my small channel on Twitch only provides roughly $50/month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
