Fund Jacel's Medical & Recovery Expenses

Hello everyone, my Name is Morena and I’ve created this GoFundMe for my niece, Jacel who was recently in a horrific car accident.

The goal for this GoFundeMe is to help Jacel and her parents with the medical bills and other expenses that will come along with her long and painful recovery.

Jacel is a remarkable young woman who is beautiful, smart, loyal and independent. She always makes everyone smile with her positive energy that brightens every situation and place she enters. Jacel recently turned 18 years old and graduated from High School with plans to enroll in Seattle Pacific University this September. Jacel was always supportive of her family, including caring for her younger siblings when her parents were working. Jacel was just beginning to look for jobs, with plans to save her earnings to help with college costs in the fall. Jacel was eager to start this new phase in her life.

This unfortunate accident has put all those plans on hold.

The day of the accident, Jacel had asked her parents if she could attend her best friend’s graduation and they obliged. After the graduation she had gone to join her grandmother for dinner and to share the events of the day. My brother Makoy offered to bring her home. On the way to their home, they were struck by a car stolen by two careless and reckless teenagers. The car was traveling between 80 to 100 mph on impact instantly changing the trajectory of Jacel and Makoy lives forever. Before the horrible event would come to a stop, they were struck two more time further threating the lives of passengers and adding even more damage and trauma to both.

Jacel was taken to the closest hospital, Valley Medical, but because of her serious condition, she was moved to Harborview Medical Center, which is the trauma center hospital for the whole Pacific Northwest. Jacel was rushed into surgery to stop internal bleeding that was threatening her life. She had to have another surgery for internal bleeding before they could stop the bleeding and stabilize Jacel. Jacel, our lovely niece, is stable now, but she is suffering so much from all the injuries and surgeries. We don't know how long Jacel's recovery will take or what will happen.

We are reaching out to our friends, families and the community to ask for help. There will be so many bills and challenges in the coming months and anything you can do to help would be so appreciated. The funds raised will be used to help with the medical bills and expense for our dear Jacel.
