Fund International Science and Engineering Fair

Hi, my name is Monishi Rangchak Tripura, and alongside Pothik Vincent Mondol and Mohammad Niyaz Hasan, we are Year 12 students at Darwin High School have been selected to represent Australia at the International Science and Engineering Fair. We are one of the nine projects selected to represent Australia out of over 120 nationwide entries to represent the Northern Territory and Australia at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the largest global pre-university science fair. Since the start of ISEF in 1950 and the participation of Australia, we are the first team to be selected from the Northern Territory, marking a historic moment in NT science education, and we hope to inspire future generations of Northern Territory students to work towards STEM extracurricular achievements once deemed unachievable. Our research focused on the cooling systems of schools winning the Real World Applicability category at the International Students Science Fair, and the research already done by the team, when applied to the real world, results in savings of up to $120000 for schools every year regarding their energy costs while critically reducing energy consumption and the load on the environment that is created from generating electricity. We will greatly appreciate all contributions. The funds raised will cover the transportation, registration costs, accommodation and food costs for the approximately two-week-long trip.
