Support Henry's Life-Changing Lyme Treatment

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sadie and I am fundraising on behalf of my younger brother, Henry. He is the strongest person I know and my best friend. He has a bright, kind, and joyful soul. To know Henry is to love him. If you are able to, I humbly ask you to please donate, share, or pray for his journey.

Henry has been battling chronic Lyme Disease for 12 years now, since he was seven years old (pictured on the left). What started as extreme fatigue soon became much more. Henry started losing his ability to function throughout the day. It eventually reached his heart and brain. He has suffered from hallucinations (and other neurological/brain symptoms), seizures, extreme chest pain, cardiac issues, etc. He has high fevers that last for months at a time. His immune system is extremely susceptible to infection since his body is so weak from constantly fighting. His body is tired! By the grace of God, we found two doctors that give him care to help manage the severity of his symptoms, but it is not enough anymore.

For those that don't know a lot about the condition, if it isn't discovered early on, it continues to get worse and very ugly. Henry suffered for 5 years before being diagnosed, which was detrimental to his prognosis. During that time, he was told he could no longer play contact sports since they didn't know what was causing his symptoms. He has always LOVED sports, so that was difficult for Henry to endure, especially while he watched all his friends play. He spent his elementary, middle school, and high school years in and out of online school, as he was too sick to go in person. When you see him, it's not always easy to notice that he is suffering - he tries to hide it. But behind the surface, he has been sick with this disease for more years of his life than he has spent healthy. Unfortunately, even with his current treatments, his symptoms worsened again this fall. He went to college in Pensacola, Florida in hopes of starting fresh and feeling good. However, it came to a halt when he was home for winter break and got so sick he couldn't return to school. This is squeezing the life out of him. The past few months watching his sickness worsen has been heartbreaking to our family.

Due to the recent and severe progression of his symptoms, the decision was made that his next step is a specialized Lyme Disease treatment at Klinic St. Georg in Germany. It has shown to be very successful for people like Henry who have specifically suffered neurologically from the disease. If successful, this treatment could cure him and give him his life back. The cost for the treatment is $50,000 and insurance will not cover this. All donations will go directly to the medical expenses for this treatment. My mom and Henry leave next week for Germany for 5 weeks for the treatment. We are trusting in God and know that He will provide.

We are so proud of how far Henry has come and are hopeful for a better future! He has inspired me throughout all of this. Even though he is my little brother, I look up to him, his strength, and spirit. I want to give him back the life that Lyme has stolen from him. We love you so much, Hank!
