Fund Hank's Film Debut and Future Care

Hank is a short documentary about an American white pelican who lives on Lake Merritt, her friends, and her uncertain future. Directed by Kari Paul and shot in Oakland, California.

WHAT IS THIS FUNDRAISER FOR?

Final post production costs:

Following our work-in-progress screening we are planning to use 25% of funds raised to push our short film over the finish line, including enhanced sound production and submission fees for film festivals.

Paying artists:

This film was made purely as a passion project, with all involved providing equipment, editing, production, filmmaking, and music for free. As such, 25% of funds raised will go to reimbursing those involved for their hard work.

Hank’s care:

All remaining funds will be use to support Hank’s care and her future, including some allocated to veterinary services and others to be donated to the Oakland Zoo, which provides fish for Hank. We will post updates to our Instagram @hankthefilm regarding where funds go and how they are used.
