"NO PLAN B, as I say. It's not easy being independent, but you never give up. Expanding the art and career that is ingrained in you. As indie filmmakers, we have everything on our shoulders to "do or die." No studios involved, just the love from fans and the horror community to share and discover new talent. My films to date are no-budget films, and with all the equipment, time, advertising, copyrights, and festivals, it all adds up quickly and is too much to handle yourself. Since a young age, 8, starting on old VHS cameras, I can't remember a time when I wasn't planning or filming or working on music and editing. I grew up with technology evolving and love horror cinema from the late '70s and 1980s. There will be some different tones and looks for this project. We are filming these short stories one by one, first making it a series and for film festival submissions, then editing a "full feature" version for wider audiences to distribute. I'm using a Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K with OLPF and DZO 12mm to 120mm lenses for tech fans that would like to know." - Frank Palangi

I can't tell too much, but the stories involve a ghostly clown, a serial killer whose killing stays in the family, a radio show that brings some undead unexpected memories and other stories from the book to be included. Each story will also be marketed toward film festivals individually with the feature version afterwards.

NOTES FROM THE WRITER
"I am beyond excited to be writing this introduction. For most of my life, I was a guy who would write from time to time. There was the painful parade of moody teenage poetry and poorly written slasher stories. While the ideas weren’t bad, per se, they were the overconfident scrawling of someone who thought way too highly of himself. Of course, this was during that awkward period of my life. You know, that time between fourteen and thirty-three.

As it turned out, I had spent all of that time living as an undiagnosed bipolar person. Once I figured out what was going on, I jumped on the medication roller coaster, and while it took a while, everything finally balanced out.

All the stories in the book were either written or re-written during the last six months. The funny thing is that the pandemic had very little to do with it. I suffer from agoraphobia and rarely left the house as it was. Then the whole country started living like me, and the creative spark burst into flames.

Each of these stories clocks in somewhere in the neighborhood of one thousand words. It makes them ready for easy consumption in a waiting room, on the bus, in the can, wherever you have a few minutes. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I had writing them.

I’d like to dedicate this to my wife Michelle, and the incredible support system she has allowed me to live and create in."
