Hi, my name is Pawel and I am asking for help to fund an urgent specialist dental procedure to get me out of agonising pain.

The picture I've used is one I took right after my dentist appointment—I’m in a lot of pain, and I’m frankly scared about what to do next.

The Problem

For the last few weeks, I've been living with constant, throbbing dental pain. I’ve just been to the dentist and have been told I have a severe infection deep inside a tooth that already has a crown.

I was given a temporary filling, but this hasn't stopped the pain I am going through. The infection is still there, and this temporary fix isn't enough to solve the problem.

Because this is a pre-existing crown, it’s not a simple root canal. It's a complex specialist procedure called an "endodontic retreatment" where a specialist has to drill through the crown to clean out the infection.

The Trap: Why I Need to Go Private

I am on Universal Credit and am also a Carer for a family member. As you can see from the NHS confirmation I received, I am entitled to FREE NHS dental treatment.

The problem is, the UK is in a dental crisis, and this procedure is too complex for a general NHS dentist. I have been told I must be referred to an NHS specialist, but the waiting list is incredibly long—it could be many months or even longer. 

I am stuck in a trap: I am eligible for free care that I can't access in a timely manner, and I am in constant pain. 

Living with this pain is exhausting. It's affecting my sleep, what I can eat, and my ability to focus. As a carer, it makes it so much harder to look after the person who depends on me.

The Solution

The only way to get this treated quickly is to go private. I have found a specialist in the Borehamwood area who can perform this complex retreatment.

I am not asking for cosmetic work. This is for an urgent medical procedure to stop an infection and end this chronic pain.

The total cost for the private treatment is £ 1100. This will cover:

The specialist consultation and 3D scans

The complex root canal retreatment procedure

A new, permanent crown to seal and protect the tooth afterwards

This amount is completely out of my reach, but with your help, I can get this surgery, get out of pain, and get back to my life and my caring responsibilities.
