Our beloved Mater Dei Prep colleague Mike Eckert tragically lost his son Matt yesterday.  Mike has worked at St. Mary's and Mater Dei Prep for years.  His son Matt loved sports, played football, basketball and baseball at Mater Dei Prep, and was known by staff for his infectious laugh.  In the past few months, the Eckert family has accumulated substantial medical bills and now will be burdened with funeral expenses.  The MDP community is asking all those who know the family to donate in Matt's honor.   Thank you in advance for your generosity, Mrs. Debra Serafin, Principal of Mater Dei Prep.
