Fund for Shandy Creatives/Venue

COVID-19 (a.k.a. Coronavirus) has had a devastating impact on people all over Australia - particularly impacting the nightlife and arts businesses, venues and workers that bring us so much joy. At this stage it’s unclear what, if any, support artists and venues will receive from the Government – and many of these small businesses and people are facing an incredibly hard time.

I had intended to run regular queer dance party, Shandy, on Saturday 28 March to celebrate our birthday, but in the interests of social distancing, we've decided to change things up.

We are thrilled to present…
Shandy in the time of COVID-19!

For the first time ever, we will be live-streaming Shandy with the kind assistance of The QUIVR direct to their Twitch channel!

Accessing the live-stream will be free – and you can access it HERE!

You can also register for the live-stream via Eventbrite to ensure you receive a reminder – you can register HERE!

While we will be broadcasting the evening’s festivities for free, we are asking anyone who has the capacity to donate towards the artists and venues we rely on so dearly to do so.

All funds received will be directed to our performers, The QUIVR, and Black Bear Lodge, who all play a vital role in Shandy.

So join us at the same time - at your nearest computer/tablet/TV/flip phone on 28 March 2020 from 9pm - and if you want to support local performers and businesses, please donate!
