Dear friends and colleagues,

We know we are all worried about Sarah's upcoming treatment and would like to do something to help. Because Sarah's partner, Brad, is at UVA, he'll be flying frequently to be with her; Sarah also has family and friends in the UK and elsewhere who would like to visit her. We are starting a fund to help them with the expense of all this travel, and some of the other expenses that will inevitably come up.
