2020 is throwing another punch: our very own Samantha Snyder is in the fight of her life against cancer. Anyone who knows Sam, or who has attended one of her fabulous and fun events, knows she is a kind, compassionate, fun, and generous person. Sam has been an incredible ally to our community for decades, spending the majority of her life working with organizations that are fighting for justice and equality. Now it’s our turn to help her in her fight.

Recently, Sam was informed that she has late stage liver cancer. Sam and her family - including her husband Scotty and son Gryffen - are facing significant and escalating medical costs. If the current state of our country’s healthcare system doesn’t enrage you enough, thinking about Sam’s battle might do it: her most recent visit to the hospital cost $136 for every 25 minutes she was in the emergency room. Up until recently, Sam had been self-employed and she does not have medical insurance. What we can raise on this page will go a long way to providing her and her family with much needed and potentially life saving support.
 
Sam has always shared the best of herself with her friends and family, now it is our time to reciprocate. Please donate what you can to ease the burden for Sam and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
