The American Muslims of Long Island began in 2016 as an organization of regular professionals with an ambition of spreading the message of Islam as a religion of peace, not hatred. The goal of the American Muslims of Long Island is to create and fund a masjid, that shall serve as a community center and a meeting point for prayer and worship. We strive to provide religious and educational services to all brothers and sisters on Long Island. Programs for the youth, adults, and elderly will all be implemented with the creation of Masjid Dar Salam. The dream of building this masjid and activity complex is much closer than we ever anticipated, and it is our highest hope to build this pillar of tolerance and love in our community. We have recently signed the contract to purchase a beautiful, spacious 1.6 acre property at 55 Lake Shore Rd, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. A prominent detail of this contract is the one which states that we need to collect as much money for the purchase as possible within 60 days. However, this tremendous goal of ours cannot be reached alone. We ask that you look into your hearts and donate generously in order for us to obtain our goals. We have gained members from all walks of life, and welcome you to join on our mission to better the Muslim world with the addition of Masjid Dar Salam.
