Acc name: Isra / Description: Van
Hello everyone, I’m Isra, an 18 year old daughter of 3. Both me and my younger sister Naeala, as shown in the picture above, have been diagnosed with Hereditary Sensory Neuropathy Type 2, which is a rare disease. It means we don’t have any sensations - we are unable to feel pain, nor can we feel the heat or the cold properly or have a sense of touch (we can’t grip things properly) like a normal person does, which has left us to be in and out of hospital. I have been blessed to be able to walk with two legs, but my sister hasn’t been given this blessing, since she’s been confined to an electric wheelchair ever since her right leg was amputated in 2014. This led my mother to buy an old van to accommodate to my sister’s electric wheelchair chair.
The old van has been having problems and my mum who works so hard for our family, always has to fix it (costing her a lot of money), however, a week ago the motor of the old car has been completely damaged, and has left my little sister Naeala no car to help her get around to school, or to hospital appointments, instead my mother has to hire a taxi every day to help my sister. As you all may know, taxi’s are not cheap - especially if you need to use them everyday. My mother and my sisters don’t have enough money to buy a new van for my sister’s needs, despite our endless effort’s to try to afford a car. So, I spoke to my mother about creating a go.fund.me page to help with raising money for a new car. We are hoping to buy a new car.
We aren’t hoping to raise a high amount, but I’m praying that with the help of the community in Melbourne, and to whoever it reaches, each dollar will count. My sister’s health means the absolute world to me and it kills me and my family that we can’t afford this on our own. Any amount of money that you can afford to help my sister will not only change my sister Naeala’s life forever, but my mother’s. This new car will improve our live’s forever and if we are able to afford a car, with your help, we will never have to buy another car for my sister, for many many many years.
There is no amount of thank you for every single person that will give money that will ever compare to the happiness you will bring to me and my family, but nonetheless, thank you. We will forever be grateful to see so many generous people in this world. We pray that many blessings enter your lives.
