On April 24, in Oakland, CA, my mother, Hue, was attacked and robbed.

She was sitting in her car in the middle of a parking lot when two men approached her, smashed her car window, pulled on her - taking her purse, and took off in their vehicle. In her stolen purse contained her personal information such as ID cards, her personal belongings, her phone, and money. In the process of trying to resist her purse from getting taken, she cut herself because of the window and also hit her head while trying to run after them. Fortunately, my mom does not have any major injuries and says that she is doing well overall.

I personally am not the type of person to reach out for financial help, though, at the moment, I want to be able to alleviate some of the financial stresses that this situation has caused upon my mom and our family, whether that is recovering the items lost in the attack, or being able to pay for car insurance expenses.

I do not want to ask for much; any amount would be greatly appreciated. Supporting our family with love as well as making sure your families are safe and protected is the greatest thing that we could ask for at this time.
