Fund For Mev's Chemo Wig

Dear family, friends, and compassionate strangers,

Some of you may know that for the past five difficult years, Mev has been fighting Endometrial cancer. With incredible strength, she has endured three surgeries within a mere fifteen-month span, including a full hysterectomy at the tender age of 33.

Despite her incredible resilience, in late May 2023, Mev received the devastating news that she has metastatic cancer (stage IV) that has spread to her pelvic area, ureter, and lymph nodes.

It breaks our hearts to share this news, and we are rallying together to raise funds for Mev’s fight against cancer. Being a positive person, with such energy and enthusiasm for life, our aim is to instil a sense of hope and confidence in Mev.

A lot of people have reached out to ask how they can help, which has been incredibly touching. We, Maria and Sadia (her sisters), and her friends, Ian and Katie, have discussed this with Mev and are asking for your support to join us in our goal to provide Mev with a human hair wig, similar to her current hairstyle. This is a way we can all join together to make the unthinkable more bearable for her. Those who know Mev, know how proud she is of her gorgeous locks!!

Human hair wigs are expensive. We are looking to raise £2,000 to cover the cost. The wig will be a source of confidence during Mev's chemotherapy treatment, which is set to commence on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023.

There is an immense emotional turmoil that accompanies hair loss from chemo—a symbol of health and identity. Every single donation brings us closer to giving Mev the confidence and dignity she deserves. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make an immeasurable difference in her life. We want to show Mev that she is cherished, that her strength inspires us all, and that she is never alone.
