Fund for little Joey's Vet Bills

Joey is very sick.

I am trying to help my friend Kristin raise some funds towards her dog’s vet bills.

Some people might remember my tweet about him back in 2021.

Kristin’s son found him roaming the neighborhood lost, scared, and very skittish.

Eventually his trust was earned and his owner was located. After returning him, it was learned that his life was a miserable one that consisted living permanently outdoors with no shelter and dirty rusted bowls.

Kristin and her son went back and paid the owner for the dog with Jayden’s piggy bank money plus $100 added by Kristin.

We wanted to find Joey a good home but it quickly became apparent why Joey was left outside indefinitely.

He pees EVERYWHERE, he has a skin condition and barking problem. Although Joey is the sweetest dog ever, Kristin didn’t feel confident that he would find a good home with his issues so she opted to keep “Bad Dog Joey” to assure he’d have a good home.

Yesterday Joey had severe bloody diarrhea, bleeding through his nose, and he was vomiting blood.

Turns out Joey has Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, which has a 95% survival rate if treated immediately. She has currently spent $1300 on her vet bills. She is expecting at least $2500 more vet bills as Joey is in quite a bad situation.

He is severely dehydrated. His blood work came back low in protein and electrolytes.

His X-ray came back showing he has fluid in his lung. He requires 1-3 nights hospitalization.
