Hope for Jose Rafael Dunn and his family

Our dearest JOSE RAFAEL DUNN is a charismatic and loving husband, father of three, engineer, entrepreneur, visionary and very sociable. Jose Rafael is going through a very difficult time and is currently in intensive care. He first was hospitalized due to severe abdominal pain but then developed acute anemia, erosive gastritis, acute kidney failure, and finally pleural effusion (water on the lungs). All of the above without a conclusive diagnosis that denotes the root of the problem.
He is currently being treated in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. A country where there is a serious humanitarian crisis, and therefore, citizens of that country don't have access to quality medical treatments and the ICU is unaffordable for most people.
Jose Rafael has no insurance coverage because insurance companies only accept payments in Dollars and Venezuela has been under a foreign exchange control for the last 16 years where the only way to obtain dollars is through the black market at outrageous rates.
Our goal is to collect $20,000 to be used towards hospitalization, exams and medicine that we will have to import from USA. We are currently at $6,000 in debt at the hospital and we hope it doesn't exceed $20,000.

Nuestro querido JOSE RAFAEL DUNN es un esposo carismático y amoroso, padre de tres hijos, ingeniero, emprendedor, visionario y muy sociable. José Rafael está pasando por un momento muy difícil y actualmente se encuentra en cuidados intensivos. Primero fue hospitalizado debido a un dolor abdominal intenso, pero luego desarrolló anemia aguda, gastritis erosiva, insuficiencia renal aguda y finalmente derrame pleural (agua en los pulmones). Todo lo anterior sin un diagnóstico concluyente que denote la raíz del problema.
Actualmente está siendo tratado en Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. Un país donde hay una grave crisis humanitaria y, por lo tanto, los ciudadanos no tienen acceso a tratamientos médicos de calidad y la terapia intensiva es inasequible para la mayoría de las personas.
José Rafael no tiene cobertura de seguro porque las compañías de seguros en ese país solo aceptan pagos en dólares y Venezuela ha estado bajo control de divisas durante los últimos 16 años, donde la única forma de obtener dólares es a través del mercado negro a tasas inalcanzables para un ciudadano común.
Nuestro objetivo es recaudar $20,000 para ser utilizados en hospitalizaciones, exámenes y medicamentos que tendremos que importar de EE.UU. Actualmente tenemos una deuda de $6,000 en el hospital y esperamos que no supere los $20,000.
