Fund for Jesse Stuart's Final Tribute

I'm Howard Stuart, younger brother of shot-putting legend Jesse Stuart. Most of you probably know by now Jesse passed away on January 20th in his home near Branson, MO, 12 years after receiving a donor heart. Jesse was an exceptional athlete in his younger days, breaking state and national records throwing the shot put, winning numerous state, conference, national championships, and international competitions. He competed in four Olympic Trials Competitions, two Pan American Games, and several international competitions representing the USA. He is known the world over, and we have been consoled by many world-class athletes since he passed. More importantly, Jesse had hundreds of great friends going back to his childhood, high school, college, international competition, and coaching days, giving back to young athletes through his great knowledge and love of the throwing events. In his adult years, he moved to Branson in the '90s, where he lived out the rest of his life. Jesse married and raised two stepdaughters (Samantha and Tammy), who he treated as if he was their natural father. He and Shelia also had a daughter named Dorothy, named after our mother. Samantha is married with kids, and Dorothy has a 7-year-old daughter named Charlotte. Jesse recently encouraged Dorothy to follow her dream of becoming a dental hygienist, so she left her management job and started a 2-year program to give her a good way to support herself and Charlotte in the future. Jesse did most of the care of Charlotte while Dorothy was at work or class, along with Dorothy's mother-in-law. Charlotte's dad, Corey, unfortunately, suffered an untimely death himself not much over a year ago. Dorothy is very lucky to have Samantha and Mrs. Dubs to help her now, and luckily Jesse's house payments are current, but due to his heart transplant, he has been somewhat disabled for years, working sporadically through his health issues. Of course, myself, siblings, and my son and daughter are helping out, but we are in need of any help Jesse's friends can afford to help cover his funeral expenses to lessen the stress and pressure on Dorothy to take care of Charlotte, stay in her home, and ultimately pay for Jesse's memorial and services. No donation is too small and any amount is appreciated to help Dorothy in her time of need.
