Unexpected Farewell plus advocacy awareness about Dementia

My name is LaBrea and I'm the daughter of JaBari and Atiya. My father JaBari Akil (age 78) suffered from dementia and wandered off and went missing for 12 days. On February 5th, very, very sad to say, my father was found deceased .

Less than one month ago, we laid my grandmother to rest (my mom's mother). Needless to say, the news of my father weighs so very heavy on our hearts, especially my mother. Unfortunately, we've learned that my father discontinued his life insurance policy some time ago with out our knowledge so I'm asking if you all could please help ease this financial burden that this has on my mom/family so that she may not only grieve from losing her mom (my grandmom) but now her husband (my father). Any amount given will be a blessing and we thank you all in advance.

Additional funds collected will go towards advocacy efforts to improve access to care and research for dementia and the importance of early diagnosis/support for living with the condition.
