With the permission of Stephen Muniz, I write this to ask for help.

My good friend Stephen Muniz was the victim of a head on collision just north of Fort Worth in Texas. On Saturday morning June 1st while working, Stephen found himself helpless as he was struck head on by an oncoming vehicle. The person who caused the accident was driving on the wrong side of the highway. The offender died at the scene. 
Stephen is currently in the hospital recovering from his injuries. 

Stephen is a single, loving father of one young boy. He is a military veteran who served in the US Marines. 

This fund will help tremendously with hospital bills and all money raised will go directly to him to help pay for medical and living expenses.
 
This is not an update on Stephen but additional information from another good friend Harley Jordan.

"Single Father, Veteran struck in a head on collision with suspected drunk driver.
Stephen Muniz is a Marine Corps veteran and single father who was forced to leave the Marines late last year for medical reasons after a 10 year career. 
On Saturday June 1st Stephen was working and on his way to pick up a fare when he was driving on Jacksboro Highway 199 outside of Fort Worth. He was struck head on by an individual driving on the wrong way of the highway at a high rate of speed. Police believe the individual was intoxicated at the time but toxicology is pending. The suspect died at the scene, all the while my friend is left to suffer from the injuries that were caused.
His sacrum, pelvis, coccyx and ankle were broken as well as aggravation to the shoulder injury he already had. He is lucky to be alive. He spent two days in the ICU and is still hospitalized to this day. 
The bad: Stephen did not have health insurance at the time, his 180 days of transition health care had just expired. He was having difficulties getting a job due to his medical limitations and frequent appointments and has been working in the ride share business (Uber/Lyft) in order to make ends meet. He is a single father and has been raising his son alone for the seven years. 
He was already having a difficult time transitioning from the military, but he has been sent down and even more difficult road to recovery. I’m sure as everyone knows the mortgage is still due, the bills still need to get paid and he literally cannot do anything while he is hospitalized.
Please help him in to get back on his feet, if you support unemployed Afghan war veterans, single fathers, proud Texan. If that doesn’t do it for you, the person that hit him has raised nearly $5000."
