Fund for Guinness' Medical Expenses

thank you for taking the time to learn about sweetie pie Guinness! Guinness and Poppy are a pair of bonded rabbits that were adopted by their caretaker and one of my best friends, Gina R., in 2022. The bunnies are around 6 years old and are goofy, love to eat, curious, and absolutely adore their caretaker. In the past few months, Guinness developed a mass at the base of his ear that tested positive for sarcoma (cancer). Gina quickly moved into action, having the mass removed which meant Guinness had to have one of his bunny ears removed. There were some challenges rebonding the pair of bunnies after his surgery followed by a few good weeks before the mass returned. Guinness is now on Critical Care, which is a type of food to help Guinness spend his last weeks/months in a more energized state as well as steroids to help with any lethargy.

I’ve created this Gofundme for Gina to help cover the costs of Guinness’ expensive vet visits, surgeries, medication, and to help offset the amount of time Gina has had to take off of work. Gina is a small business owner here in Austin, TX, committed to providing gender affirming hair cuts/styles/colors at accessible prices. They are an extremely dedicated bunny guardian and hair stylist in this community who also struggles with being chronically ill. Due to their daily battles with Lupus, a life long illness that compromises of the immune system attacking healthy tissues and organs, Gina already has so much to push through and navigate just to make it through the work day.

On top of the images of the receipts attached (as an update), the Critical Care food is $48/week before taxes and end of life care costs range from $200-$500.

Having to navigate a chronic illness is hard enough already, on top of running your own business, and also losing your fluffy companion. I’m just hoping to raise some funds so Gina will have one less thing to worry about and can enjoy their time with the buns.
