Fund for Gail Koller’s sudden passing

Donation protected

We lost our beloved Mother on January 27, 2021. It was a sudden death with no warning at all. We are In great despair
and shock. She was at work on Monday
January 25th. Had seen coworkers and
friends and seemed fine. All that changed  in the early hours of January 26th. A long string of events occurred including Gail
getting very, very sick. Her symptoms
resembled Covid. So she wanted to go
get a Covid test. With her body shutting down she was barely able to get into a
car. A friend drove her to Victoria
General at 3:30 PM. Her vitals were all
fine but a heart issue was detected. She was then transferred to the Cardiac Unit at The Jubilee Hospital. Her young son
and my Brother Matt was told she would be ok and a stent was needed in her
heart. I was informed at this time of all
that happened. She had told my Brother not to tell me what was happening.
Fearing I would be overly stressed. Three of us siblings were calling the Hospital
for updates. Matt and Kris were still
holding out for everything being ok. The call I had from the Doctor was less than
pleasant. I felt the bedside manner and
tone of this Doctors voice was harsh and condescending. She told me “Don’t get
your hopes up” and “Is your Mom
mentally ill”! No she is not, she was so
scared she was panicking and had been
getting heart attacks all day long. So a
little compassion would of been nice.

I find it to painful to describe the rest butit was the worst night of my life.  My
Mother and best friend passed during
this procedure. Shock and disbelief set in

As we grieve and try to make sense of
this we are faced with many obstacles.

Including  getting a lawyer as there is no will.  Also service and burial is possibly
over ten thousand dollars.

My Mom was only 72 Years old. I thoughtwe had a couple decades left together.
My heart will be forever broken.

I have been off work for three Years due to my own illness.

Any help would be appreciated.
