Fund for CM to restart

I took my boys to the coffee shop this morning for breakfast and saw C, the waitress with whom we have become friendly. I knew she was getting custody of her sister's children, to take them out of foster care. I waived and said hi, asking how the kids were as last time we talked, she was getting close to get the children and a regular customer here at the coffee shop, also knowing the situation, promised to find her and the kids a place to live.

Her eyes got a little watery, told me that the person took her money and disappeared. She had to give the kids back to foster care yesterday. She was devastated, not to mention the kids. She worked very hard to get here, thinking finally she would be able to give the 6-year old boy and the 7-month baby a home, only to take the crib apart yesterday after they were sent back. She already gave her current landlord notice that she was moving out, as she thought she got the new place with the children. Her things are in boxes, furniture in storage.

I don't know what to say.  I posted this on my facebook page, to expresss my own frustration with the story, not understanding who would do such a horrid thing to a young girl with a big heart.   Within mins, a friend of mine suggested gofundme.  Money won't take care of all the problems and the hurt, however, at least we can help C to get back on her feet, and the children a loving home.
