Fund for Akua's Funeral

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that our family announces the loss of our beloved Akua Mashavu Safiyah Miggins. Akua was a beautiful spirit who lived her life vibrantly, and was filled with artistic talents and deep spirituality. She was one-of-a-kind.

Akua, 36 years old, died tragically on Friday, September 1st when her car was rear-ended by a reckless driver, who fled the scene, and did not attempt to render her any aid. She is survived by her fiancé Alhaji, her son Surhynes, her mother Erica & father Don, sisters Naiyanna, Ida, Abrieghl, Zakiya, and brothers Wade, General & Gyasi.

Our family is struggling to come to terms with our devastating loss. In addition to the troubling emotional toll, we are also facing significant financial challenges in covering the costs of laying her to rest.

We want to honor Akua and grant her the memorial she deserves.
