Fund Flynn's Top Surgery :)

Hi! My name is Flynn Rodriquez, and I am raising money to afford top surgery.

I am a trans man, and I have been out for three years now. This journey of self discovery in recent years has not always been easy, but the joy that I have found in my queerness has been like nothing else. I find so much peace in my trans identity. I know full-heartedly that this is who I am, and how I am meant to experience life.

I have been binding nearly every day since coming out, and I am more than ready to get top surgery and feel free from tape and binders and compression tops. Top surgery would improve my life in unimaginable ways. I want to go swimming with my friends without discomfort or shame, I want to exist in nature and feel like my full self, I want to go for runs without being so aware of what about my body does not serve me, I want to see myself in the mirror every morning and feel content with my reflection. And I want to wear cute outfits and feel good in them!!

The surgeon that I am raising money to see is located in Denver, and has given me a quote of around $14,000 out of pocket. This doctor is one of the best ftm top surgeons in the country, but that level of care comes with a steep cost as well as the additional travel expenses and money lost from missing work.

So overall, this whole process costs a lot of money!! That is why I am asking for aid from my community to help me afford this very important procedure.

Beyond the cost of the surgery itself, I am also asking for financial assistance to help cover the following:

Travel costs, hotels, post-op care, covering the cost of taking off at least 3 weeks from work, and helpful recovery items.

All donations to this gofund me will go towards the most pressing expenses first.

I am going to save as much as I can, but I am asking for assistance from my community to help me feel more financially secure moving forward with this process.
