Fund Floor Rugs for a Better Learning Space in Acting Class

Hello, supporters of the arts!
My name is Kirstyn Trombetta, and I’m a high school teacher at Farrington High School in Kalihi. I just discovered that for the first time, I will be teaching ALL acting courses next school year. It's what I've dreamt of since I was an acting student. I have a passion for helping students find their voice, build confidence, and express themselves through the power of performance. Every class, I witness the incredible transformation that takes place when students feel safe, supported, and inspired — and that's where you come in.
Right now, I’m raising funds to purchase two large area rugs for our classroom. These rugs may seem like a small addition, but they will make a huge impact. Most of our acting activities happen on the floor — warmups, rehearsals, improv games, scene work, and more. But currently, our classroom has a cold, hard tile floor that’s uncomfortable and distracting for students who are expected to move, sit, and engage with energy and focus.
These rugs will:
- Create a welcoming and cozy environment that encourages creativity
- Provide a safe, soft space for movement, physical theatre work, and act as a "house" or audience seats on performance days
- Help students feel at home especially during non-class time— especially those who use the drama room as a refuge during tough school days
My goal is to raise $600 to purchase two durable, high-quality rugs that will last for years and support hundreds of students in their artistic and emotional growth.
If you believe in the importance of arts education and want to directly support the next generation of storytellers, performers, and empathetic leaders — please consider donating.
Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and our mission to make theatre a place where everyone belongs.
With gratitude,
Kirstyn <3
