Hi, my name is Taylor. Toast is my first cat, and I waited for him my whole life. Last year, I was finally able to adopt a kitty after I moved out of my mom’s house, and when I saw him at the shelter, I knew I had to seize the opportunity. He is the most zany, silly, and loving cat I have ever met. Unfortunately, his silliness led him to eat string that bunched up his intestines and created an obstruction. The vet said there was no other option besides surgery, but the surgery was 8,000 dollars, and although I truly could not afford it, I was unwilling to let him go. I love him more than I thought it was possible to love a pet, and the idea of letting him go after only getting to love him for a year is unfathomable. I am asking for half of that amount to help with the cost. I am currently in graduate school to become a school psychologist and have only one more year of schooling left. As a second-year school psychology student, I am in an internship and enrolled in 4 classes, and I only have time to work one serving shift per week. Any little bit of help would be appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
