Fund Elias's Journey to VCU Cinema

Hi, my name is Miguelina, and I’m the proud mother of Elias, a young man with a heart full of dreams and creativity that knows no limits. Since he was a child, Elias has lived and breathed art. He started playing instruments, editing his own videos, and composing music—and along the way, he discovered his true passion: storytelling through film.

Now, that dream is closer than ever. Elias has been accepted into the prestigious Cinema program at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he’ll have the opportunity to train as a professional filmmaker. For him, this isn’t just a career—it’s a calling.

But as a single mother, I simply cannot afford the costs this journey requires. Elias receives no financial support from his father, and while he works and gives his all every day, this is a five-year project that involves tuition, materials, housing, equipment, and more.

That’s why we’re asking for your help in raising $30,000, which will go toward covering these essential early expenses. I know how much Elias has sacrificed to get here. He has the talent, the drive, and the commitment—he just needs an opportunity.
