Help Sean Fund His Acting Conservatory Tuition

Hi, my name is Sean Simon Jr, a young aspiring actor attempting to enroll in a full-time Acting Conservatory at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. I've been admitted into their Fall 2022 Degree Program in Film & TV. I'm a NY native from Brownsville, Brooklyn... where there is a considerable lack of resources, programs, fundamental opportunities for youth and where dreams sadly do not appear to be so attainable; I am eager to make mine a reality. I previously attended Howard University as a freshman where I was studying for my BFA in Theater Arts-Acting; however, things didn't work out to my benefit, bringing me back to the drawing board. Still, in pursuit of my dreams, I am now working towards strengthening my craft here in NYC.

By attending a Conservatory, I will receive comprehensive and rigorous training, ultimately helping me establish a solid foundation to embark on my acting journey. While I was offered a talent-based scholarship for NYCDA and have applied for financial aid through FAFSA, aside from my parents' help, my remaining balance is roughly $27,000 over the 2-year term. School should not be so financially burdening for those who are looking to further their education. Sadly for many individuals, it is.

My goal is to become an award-winning actor to showcase more diverse representation on the big screen and on stage, and to ultimately bring Arts-Enrichment programs to inner city neighborhoods like my own; affording creative spaces/opportunities I wish I had growing up. I am in great need of financial assistance to get me jump-started as I am making every effort to avoid drowning in student-loan debt post-graduation. No donation is too small.
