Fund DIY research on local fungal lifeforms?
Donation protected
Hi, our name is Zwarm
We're a young and driven citizen science organization based in Ghent, experimenting with low-tech processes on working with fungal lifeforms. By introducing mycelium to waste streams such as paper, cardboard or even old socks, we're looking at ways to transform these into food or construction materials.
We could use your help buying building materials for outdoor growing rooms, (portable) lab equipment and measuring equipment, fridges, containers, the renovation of our portable oven and much, much more. This way, we can continue working our database on locals strains and spread the gained knowledge in an open-source manner.
Next to helping us build our spaces and invest in basic lab equipment, you're contributing to our open kitchens, forest walks, happenings and talks held by local and international pioneers on the subject. This way, we want to shed light on new eco-friendly futures and intriguing ways fungi can play a roll in this. We'll be sharing all talks and information online; in a quest for more accessible, decentralized and community based ways of gathering and sharing knowledge.
With love,
Titi, Sammy, Swakke, Jeffo,...
