Fund Deyker's Journey to Recovery

I'm helping to fundraise for Deyker, a 23 year-old man who was stabbed while walking walking down the street in Cali Colombia. He was in critical condition, but after several surgeries he survived but is unable to speak or walk and is in a wheelchair. After he was stabbed, his mother, Orna, moved to Cali (from San Andreas) to take care of Deyker while he recovers and gets well enough for his next surgery to replace the part of his skull that had to be removed.

While in Cali, Orna has not been able to work so has been struggling for basic needs like food, rent (in a 3 story walk-up with a shared kitchen and bath), and cell phone payments (essential at this time). The doctors have told Orna that the recovery will be at least a year, which means Orna can't go home to to work again for many more months.

I have known their aunt Jeneth for many years and am working with her to fundraise for these essentials. If we raise more than our small goal, Orna and Deyker might be able to move to a ground-floor apartment so they don't need to navigate up and down the stairs.
