My name is Nick Wilson, and I am working on installing Broadcastify railroad radio feeds for CSX’s River Subdivision.

Active sites now include Coxsackie, Kingston, Newburgh, Stony Point, and Bergenfield. Due to Kingston's limited range, it will be split into two new sites at Germantown and Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie.

Each radio feed costs approximately $600 in hardware: a Tram 1487 antenna, LMR-400 coax, a Kenwood TK-7180, power supply, audio cable, a mini PC, and a sound card. Some sites require additional filtering to reach their full potential, which can push costs up into the $800-1000 range for one feed.

While I never expected to break even in this project, any funds received would be tremendously helpful and would help expedite the roll-out of future installations. Maintenance, upgrades, and gas for driving all over the Hudson River Valley also add up.
