Help Me Become an EMT – Support My Education at Clarkson

Hi, my name is Corrina Boyer, and I’m a single mother of three young boys doing everything I can to build a better life for them—and for myself.

I’M hoping to start the EMT program at Clarkson University (Clarkson Hall – 59 Main Street, Potsdam, NY), starting August 25, 2025, and running through December 6, 2025. This is a huge step for me. The program runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings (6–9 p.m.), and some Saturdays (9 a.m.–4 p.m.), and it’s designed to prepare students for real-life emergencies with rigorous, hands-on training in lifesaving skills.

Becoming a certified EMT is more than a career move—it’s a calling I’ve felt deeply, and it’s a way for me to give back to my community while creating long-term stability for my family. After everything we’ve been through—surviving an abusive relationship, navigating systems alone, and holding my family together day by day—this opportunity feels like a turning point. I’m ready to step forward into a role where I can help others, and finally help myself build a future filled with purpose, healing, and hope.

The total cost for the program is $1,050. That covers my tuition, books, online access, uniform shirts, and a vital signs kit. I’m asking for $1,200 to help with:

• Tuition and required supplies

• Gas to and from classes

• GoFundMe’s platform fees

I had hoped to raise this through community events, but time has run short—registration and payment are due by July 25, 2025. I need your help to make this dream a reality.
