Fund Cody's Medical and Vehicle Recovery

Hello. My name is Cody, and as of 5/11/2024 around 9:15 pm, I was the unfortunate victim of a hit and run. My beloved 2016 scion tC is essentially totaled. Not only was my car severely damaged and, but two other vehicles were damaged as well. One of them may also be totaled and the other one was luckily just cosmetic damage. The one who hit me into the others managed to get away and I have not really been able to get any updates on if they found him just due to how short of a time it has been.

I bought my beloved tC a year ago, it was my first big boy purchase and I was super stoked to finally have something that wasn't running on hopes and dreams. Over the last year, I have done everything to this car. I fully rebuilt the suspension, modified suspension, redid the brakes on it twice because I drive so much, I did every oil change on it, even just did a full transmission service and put brand new tires on her. I wanted to make this car into something better and cooler. My goal was to fully repaint it and make the vehicle look cooler but also preform so much better.

I am asking for help with fund raising because I am looking into getting something new. Whether its a junk car just to get me from point A to B or help with a down payment on a brand new one, I am in need of a vehicle to get to and from work. Part of the funds, I want to dedicate to any medical bills that insurance may not cover for myself and the other drivers involved and the rest towards a car.

This is important to me, because I feel bad for the other drivers that my vehicle damaged and that all the work I did on my car, was taken from me. I have yet to even pay this vehicle off but hopefully between my GAP insurance and everything that won't be a problem. The unfortunate part, is I may not even be able to get something new, even if it is a hooptie, when the insurance and GAP take over just due to the amount of damage the drive train, frame and suspension have suffered. I really hope that I will be able to help the other drivers out and get something a little bit better than what I had.
