Fund Chenya Paul's Path to Nursing Success

I want to start off by thanking my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for everything he has done for me. Without him, I wouldn’t have accomplished so many things these past four years. I pray whoever is reading this does so with an open mind and heart.

Hello, my name is Chenya Paul. All my life I loved babies and knew I wanted to be a postpartum nurse when I grew up. I graduated from Hardaway High School this past summer as the Salutatorian of my class with a 4.5 GPA. These past four years of high school were long and rough. Being in the IB Program is not as easy, and it can be quite stressful sometimes. The workload was heavy. This workload included completing my CAS project, my extended essay, and completing my IA and exams. All this was done with me also being on the Varsity competition cheer team, and being apart of multiple clubs.

Upon graduating along with many other schools I was also accepted into one of the best universities in Georgia, Mercer University. I know that God himself put me on this path that is made specifically for me, and he will lead me to greatness. Along that path I also know that there will be obstacles I have to continue to overcome. Chadwick Boseman once said, “When God has something for you, it doesn’t matter who stands against it. God will move someone that’s holding you back away from a door, and put someone there who will open it for you." I am asking you to help me open those doors. Even with all my hard work and dedication throughout high school and the scholarship's I received it will not be enough to fund my education. After all my merit awards were applied for my first year I still have a balance of $10,500 to cover my first year of school.

Let me say also that my mom is my hero. Growing up up in a single parent home I have always looked up to her because she is the type of parent that does what it takes to ensure that her kids always had what they needed and she took on many hardships to make sure that happened. There has never been a time where I have not been able to call or depend on my mom.

Knowing all I know and experiencing the many different stages of high school gave me purpose. Purpose is an essential element of you and it is the reason you are on this planet at this particular time in history. This helped to shape my future as I now know as I continue on my path the struggles along the way are only meant to shape you for your purpose and not discourage you.

My purpose of creating this GoFundMe is to try and help take some of the burden off my mom and help her come up with the funds to cover my college education. My mom has always showed up for her kids. This one time I want to show up and help her and need your help to do so. I hope you find it in your heart to help me and please share this as well.
