I'm Charlotte, and my story is one you've heard before. You'll probably hear it until the end of time, but it doesn't stop it from being any less true or terrifying
for those who experience it.
I am a college student, and I have a dream of going to India. There's a program through college called Study Abroad, you've probably heard of it. It's where students can go off to experience life somewhere else for a while. For a Sociology student, this can be priceless experience. I've never been out of the country.
This opportunity is so exciting for me! The only hitch in all this is, as most things boil down to, financial. The trip will cost a little over 3000 dollars. Initially this wasn't going to be too much of an issue, I would've found a way to get it covered. However, that was before my parents announced that they could no longer help me finance college. I am a senior at DePaul University in Chicago -- I am only one year away from graduating! I am DETERMINED that I can still go to India, but I need your help!
Please, I know this trip is something most people would cut out immediately. Most people would give up on it. That's probably practical and frugal. But studying abroad is something I've always wanted to experience. I do this now, or I might never be able to do this again. Help me prove that good things can happen! Please help me get to India!
