Fund Chance's Fight for a Second Chance
Donation protected
My name is Christine, I am helping raise funds for the care, surgery and rehabilitation of Chance.
April 14, a good Samaritan stopped to save this pups life when they found him in the median on I-25 near the Wellington, CO exit.
They brought him to the CSU Vet hospital, they had to transfer him as a stray as he had no collar or chip.
NOCO humane had to hold him for 5 days for the family find period. During this time, it was an entire village that rallied behind chance to help get him released to a veterinarian and a rescue so that he could be given a chance to live. Without the pressure of everyone involved, Chance would have been euthanized. With so many people willing to help they still were ready to euthanize, this is in my opinion not acceptable, and I am so thankful to the team that's rallied together to save this guy.
Dr. Chad Zadina at Tabby Road in Wellington is helping facilitate care, pain management and diagnosis. When not at the clinic for testing or procedure, Chance is residing with a great care taker at Chris Ps Rescue and Rehabilitation. Krysta's rehab facility recently took major wind damage and has been facing the financial devastation from this, yet didn't waiver to take on Chance to help give this guy an opportunity to live a full happy life. (4/20)
We are asking for help funding mainly the surgery with a specialist as it will be rather expensive. The scans this morning (4/22) resulted in this update from Dr. Zadina - we are now seeking outside assistance with this project. His ileum and sacrum are subluxated which will require a surgery area with fluoroscopy which allows more precise screw placement. Dr. Zadina and Krysta are donating their time and services to care for Chance, THANK YOU!!
If you have a few dollars to help us fund this sweet boys care, we would greatly appreciate it. If not, a quick share to help spread the word is just as helpful!!
We'll keep updates coming as provided.
Any additional funds will be used for other rescues as Chance has inspired us to go big or go home and work against the Inhumane society.
We've started a group, Chance's Army on Facebook. This is a place people can report animals in need and we can do everything in our power to help them.
