Fund Caly's TPLO Surgery
Donation protected
Caly is our cane corso pup who tore her ACL and can no longer run, jump, or play. Unable to use her back leg, Caly is confused and does not understand why she can't just do puppy things. Caly is just about to turn 3 years old on May 20th. We hope to be able to get her in for surgery and on the road to recovery by her birthday.
The reason we need help is this: when large dogs tear their ACL they need to get a bone-modifying surgery to reconfigure the knee to remove the need to use the ACL. Unfortunately, this "large breed" knee surgery is much more expensive than the surgery smaller dogs are able to get. Without the surgery, large dogs get early-onset and often debilitating arthritis-- for very large dogs, this can be a death sentence (what do you do when your 100+lb dog can't walk?).
Caly is still young, and without this surgery, she will not be able to enjoy her youth or adult-hood and could be potentially bed-ridden. We have gotten an estimate from the vet where we will be getting the surgery, which has a low estimate of $4873.
We would appreciate any and all help to fund Caly's surgery. If you have ever come over to snuggle Caly for emotional support, if you've played with her and love her, or even if you just love dogs, we are so thankful for any help! We do have some money we've been saving, but this bill is very high and we can't do it on our own. If you are willing to donate, no matter the number, it is so very very appreciated.
Thank you all so much for helping us get Caly the care she needs!
