My name is Brittany Read and I am a Team England World Cup lacrosse player and also a GB Olympic athlete. England lacrosse is not funded, and we have to pay everything out-of-pocket, including training, travel, accommodations, food, and the actual event. The goal for this is to raise money for all of that so I'm able to play and not be stressed about the financial burden. My ultimate goal is to make the sixes England team, which will travel to LA in 2028.

Playing for England means more to me than anything. My father, who passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2016, was my biggest supporter. He was so proud to be British, and I grew up with many of the traditions. I never thought it possible to represent a country that meant so much to him. He would be so proud if he was still with me today, so for that, I play for him.
