Fund Brian's Post-Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
We have great news! After being on the transplant list for almost a year, a kidney match has been found! Brian is scheduled for a transplant on July 24th!
At the age of 36, Brian was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. For the past year, he has been doing dialysis three days a week to keep holding on for a kidney donation.
In June, he received a call that a stranger in Charleston, SC decided they wanted to donate a kidney and it so happened that Brian was an exact match.
As exciting as this is, Brian has a long road ahead of him. To help him on this journey, we are raising money for all of the out of pocket medical expenses he will incur.
They are estimating around $20,000 to cover expenses associated with lodging, medications, post-operative care, and ongoing medical expenses.
Brian will be staying in the hospital for a week after surgery and then in a hotel near the hospital for another week. After that, he will have to travel to Charleston multiple times a week for follow-ups.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference. Every dollar contributed will go directly toward ensuring Brian receives the care he needs.
