Help Fund Brayan's Journey with Gold Drum & Bugle Corps

Hey everyone!

My name is Brayan. I've been playing tuba for quite a while (over a year) at Castaic High School, and as of now in my sophomore year. Besides that, I participated in the Santa Clarita Valley's community band last summer.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been offered a contract (in other words, offered a position) into the Drum and Bugle Corps program known as Gold!

For those of you who might not be familiar, the Drum and Bugle Corps is a musical marching unit made up of brass instruments, percussion, and a color guard, or as DCI.org describes it. But to put it in my own words, it’s A MARCHING BAND ON STEROIDS!

With that said, it’s so much more than just marching band to me. Being part of Gold means joining a family, learning discipline, and taking another step in my musical journey, and according to so many people who’ve experienced it, it means creating memories that will last a lifetime.

This has been a dream of mine ever since I had a life-changing experience at an event called DCI West. It was there that not only did I see Gold's amazing show and other corps, but I also saw the beauty of DCI.

But here's the thing, I need your help to make it possible. Participating in Gold or well ANY Drum and Bugle Corps comes with hefty tuition of $5k-6k for travel, housing, equipment, etc...

If you can support me, whether it be with a donation or simply by sharing this with others, it would mean the world to me. Every little bit is a step closer to me stepping on a field and marching with this corps, and potentially performing to you in the audience.
