We're Mr. Josiah Botoe's colleagues at the Regional Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (RMRCC) in Monrovia, Liberia. We've known Botoe since 2009, when we started working at RMRCC-Monrovia.

We are raising funds to help save Botoe's life by paying for his heart surgery at Medanta Hospital in India. Botoe was diagnosed with Congestive Heart failure secondary to Aortic Aneurysms in October 2023. This condition causes shortness of breath, resulting in periodic respiratory distress, putting him in constant need of oxygen and hospitalization. Botoe needs urgent heart surgery to save his life; however, his family has spent all their savings on medical bills, travel expenses, accommodation, and maintenance in India, and he has run out of funds for his surgery.

Botoe is a firm believer in life and has dedicated over 13 years to saving lives at sea and assisting people in distress at the RMRCC-Monrovia, where he started as Junior Radio Communicator and rose to Officer-In-Charge of the Center.

We hope to help rescue Botoe so that he can continue his work rescuing seafarers, fishermen, and anyone else who may be in distress at sea. Saving Botoe's life will also mean the world to his 3 school-going kids who long to see their caring father.
