Help Berkley Take the Stage at Carnegie Hall!
My name is Berkley Allen, and I am a 14-year-old actress, public speaker, and 2x National Speech & Debate Champion from Florida with a dream of sharing my art with the world.
This year, I entered to compete in the Magnum Opus International Speech & Debate competition with my Dramatic Interpretation of Don't Tell Me to Relax by Sophie Riegel. This performance highlights the impact mental illness has on teenagers, a topic that is is very close to my heart.
In June, I recieved the news that I receieved 2nd place in the competition and, as a result, was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City and reiceve a masterclass by an NYU Tish School of the Arts Professor this November! This honor is offered to a select group of outstanding young performers nationwide, and I am beyond grateful to represent my school, my community, and my message on one of the most iconic stages in the world.
Opportunities like this don’t come often and, unfortunately, they don’t come free. To make this dream a reality, we are raising $6,000 to cover the cost of the trip, including:
✈️ Airfare for me and a parent chaperone
Lodging near Carnegie Hall
Transportation in New York City
Meals and travel expenses during the trip
Performance attire, program fees, and rehearsal costs
How You Can Help:
Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to standing on that stage and representing young performers everywhere. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page means the world to me!
This isn’t just about one performance. It’s about chasing a dream, growing as an artist, and proving to myself that with hard work and the support of my community, anything is possible.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me make this dream come true.
“How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice.”
The practice, practice, practice is complete. Now, with your help, I’ll get there!
With gratitude,
Berkley Allen
