Hi, my name is Arthur Neltner, and I am currently a student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing a career in law.

I am financially independent and have been supporting myself while working toward my degree. My father is on disability, which has limited his ability to provide financial support, and my mother has not been present in my life. As a result, I have taken on full responsibility for my living expenses, including rent, transportation, and everyday necessities.

Over the past few years, I have worked hard to stay on track academically while balancing internships and part-time work. Despite these efforts, I am currently living paycheck to paycheck with very limited available funds.

Although my LSAC fee waiver appeal was reviewed, it was denied due to technical eligibility thresholds that did not fully reflect my actual financial situation. A portion of the funds reflected in my application are held in a joint account with my father due to his disability-related financial arrangements, and those funds are not fully available for my independent use. My checking account — which I rely on for all daily expenses — maintains a very low balance and reflects my true financial capacity.

At this time, I expect to earn approximately $8,000 this year, and after covering essential expenses, I do not have the financial ability to pay for the LSAT and law school application process on my own.

I am raising funds to cover:
• LSAT registration
• Credential Assembly Service (CAS)
• Law school application fees

These costs total approximately $600–$1,200 and are currently the only barrier preventing me from taking the next step toward law school.

My goal in pursuing law is to make a meaningful impact at the local level by advocating for individuals and addressing injustices within my community. I am committed to building a career where I can use my education to create real, tangible change.

I have put in the work to get to this point, and I am determined to continue forward. Any support, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference in helping me reach this next step.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you are able to provide.

— Arthur
