Help Antonio and His Family with Medical Transportation Costs

Hello, my name is Dick Tracy Valdez, and I’m reaching out to ask for support to help cover the medical transportation expenses for my son, Antonio, and my wife. Due to the specialized care they both need, we are struggling to afford the costs of travel to and from essential doctor’s appointments and surgeries.

Antonio was born prematurely at just 29 weeks and weighed only 2.2 lbs. He spent his first two months in the NICU in Toledo, Ohio. Since birth, Antonio has faced significant physical challenges. He currently cannot normally crawl due to a backward knee, will rely on a G-tube in order to get adequate calories from breast milk, and was born with a bell-shaped rib cage that restricts his lung expansion.

Although these conditions can be managed and potentially corrected with the right treatments, we face a major hurdle: transportation. With multiple specialists and hospitals spread across various locations, the cost of getting to and from these appointments is becoming overwhelming. For instance, a one-way Uber ride to just one specialist in Hackensack New Jersey costs approximately $50.

As a father and husband, I feel it's my responsibility to provide for my family, but recent financial struggles have made it difficult to meet these expenses. I've recently started a new job, but even with the additional income, it's still a challenge to cover the costs of transportation on top of daily living expenses.

We are asking for your support to help us ensure that Antonio and my wife can continue receiving the care they desperately need. Any donation, no matter how small, would make a huge difference in helping us manage these costs and ensure that they get to their appointments without delay.
