Hello friends! I'm Anthony, a Korean American writer from the San Francisco Bay Area, and I'm excited to share that I've been accepted to the prestigious Tin House Workshop for Nonfiction this November in Portland. With a 10% acceptance rate, this is an incredible opportunity I'd hate to miss.

I'll be working directly with Deborah Jackson Taffa, author of Whiskey Tender and a citizen of the Yuma Nation whose groundbreaking work interrogates historic injustices through experimental memoir. This is a dream mentorship for my own memoir-in-progress, A Talented Ruin, which uses documentary and experimental forms to explore academic precarity, immigrant survival, and caregiving.

About My Work

I hold a Ph.D. in Literature/Cultural Studies from UC San Diego and recently completed VONA's first-ever memoir generator. My writing is poised at the intersection of institutional critique and immigrant resistance, using forms that rupture conventional narrative to document experiences that straight memoir can't hold.
