Hello My name is Jessica and I am here to share Analia story. Our little girl was diagnosed this year in January towards mid month with type 1 diabetes. It was the scariest moment of our lives with her because we could have lost her then. We weren’t familiar with type 1 diabetes symptoms until it was savior. We spent 8 days at the hospital bringing her weight and what we can call normal feeling back. She is 6 years old and what a trooper. I know we all say the same thing about our own children but the way she has handle this life changing diagnosis has been with excellence. We have her on the dexcom monitor that has been interesting. It’s not the most accurate device. I wake up 2-3 times. night to check her levels to make sure they’re not High or low. It’s an adjusted for all of us. We had our yearly family water trip and the lows were so low for her. The dexcom wasn’t very helpful. All of this to say we researched getting a diabetic service dog plus she loooves animals so we thought perfect! . However, we did not expect the cost to be between 10,000-20,000. We were in shock with the cost. Analia is a ray of sunshine this service animal would be such an asset to our everyday lives. The main reason we in search for a service animal. We learned that the school she attends and will continue to attend will no longer have a full time nurse because of funding. We were so sad hearing this news Analia has developed such a bond with Nurse Nicole. We hope that this touches your heart and help our family with making this possible. We appreciate every blessing. I pray the Lord multiplies each of you for each contribution. God bless be well.
