Help us bring our new classical musical comedy to life with young Chicago performers!
WHAT'S JUPITER?
We're the Jupiter Opera Development Foundation, an incubator that develops new opera scores with a queer aesthetic center.
WHY DO WE NEED MONEY?
Our workshop performers need to get paid to show you our latest creation, a short historical comedy. This demo workshop will be recorded and available free on YouTube, and the score will be available on the Jupiter website.
WHAT'S THE SHOW?
This project, FROG, sounds musically like Gilbert and Sullivan with a story that bends gender and sexuality in a fun Tudor setting. Music was created by queer composer Vince Gover with lyrics by trans librettist Jude O'Dell. The creation of the score was funded by the Jupiter Opera Development Foundation, a queer home for the performing arts.
The music sounds a little something like this:
WHO'S IN THE CAST?
Here are a few of the amazing performers who want to sing this silly show for you! Each musician needs $500 to study the new music and show up for a long day of rehearsing and recording in Chicago.
ARIEL ANDREW, soprano
KATHERINE BRUTON, soprano
ALIYAH NECAISE, soprano

VERONICA SAMIEC, soprano
SOL ADAM LEHMAN, countertenor
ORION ELROD, tenor

SOLAMADA PANDO GIRARD, baritone
More cast announcements are forthcoming!
We're also asking for funds to pay a recording engineer to capture the workshop so we can upload it and show the world our work.
YOU CAN MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE...
With a few dollars and/or some kind words on social media, you could bring so much joy into the LGBT community this year. Now more than ever, we need and deserve to sing, dance, and laugh, and we can't do it without your support.
Please help us bring FROG to life!
