Fund an interview with actor John Astin

John Astin is most famous for his role as Gomez Addams in the 1960s TV show THE ADDAMS FAMILY. But we at TO THE BATPOLES podcast have some questions we want to ask him about the time he played The Riddler on BATMAN. For example, did he ask for a question-mark cane - something that has since become a regular part of most portrayals of the character?

We have been in touch with Mr. Astin's agent about scheduling an interview, but we have been asked what our "budget" is for the interview. There's no set fee, we're told; they will negotiate based on whatever figure we throw out. But an acquaintance who works in Hollywood has suggested that we should offer a very substantial amount.

We can easily put $100 in the pot ourselves, but we need a better number to ensure that we can arrange an interview. If you'd like to hear our interview with Mr. Astin about his appearance as the Riddler (and likely other topics as well), we'd like to ask for your donation to help make that a reality. If the interview falls through, WE WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY.

We've set the goal for $500, but whatever amount we have collected by 7 am Eastern Time on February 11, 2021, plus our own $100, will be the amount we offer for the interview.
