A dear friend and beautiful soul has been invited to Venice Italy to perform her work "Return to Source" at the opening weekend of the 2019 Venice International Art Fair on April 11th and April 12th. Return to Source is an exploration of paint on canvas using the body and movement to transfer paint from one place to the other. The work in Venice will focus on the Quantum Mechanics principle of Tunneling, and the transfer of energy through space.
This opportunity, while exciting is unfunded so I am hoping to make this dream a reality for her.
When Alia is not performing "Return to Source", she is making the art of dance accessible through her Studio - Dance Avondale. Their mission is to provide the highest quality of dance education that is available to all students by being financially accessible and culturally sensitive. In this way, Dance Avondale hopes to empower the community through dance by promoting ownership of progress from youth participants, hosting activities and classes that promote family engagement and teach with the purpose of elevating self-perception and appreciation for all its students.
Her love of the arts and her belief in its power to make change in people's lives is extraordinary. So I hope you will join me in whatever ways possible, in supporting her efforts.
